This year’s resolve: The United States federal government should substantially increase fiscal redistribution in the United States by adopting a federal jobs guarantee, expanding Social Security, and/or providing a basic income.

• Advisors: Mrs. Vazquez (vazquez@hpsd.org) and Mrs. Koh (koh@hpsd.org)

• Debate preparation began in September.  Debates start in October and end in March.

• The Debate Team is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.

• Working Meetings are held on Tuesdays after school in room 43 until 4 PM.

• Debaters need to work with a partner to prepare and present their plans.

• Debaters travel to host schools for five debates during the season.
