Math Grouping Criteria

Grade 4 moving to Grade 5 Advanced Math (must meet all criteria)

• GPA - 95% or higher

• NJSLA 3rd Grade - 781 or higher

• End of Year Assessment - 87%

• Word Problem Assessment - 82%

• Math League - 16/17

• Math Committee Approval

Grade 5 moving to Grade 6 Advanced Math (must meet all criteria)

• GPA: 90 %+( average) or 88 %+( advanced)

• Word Problem 80%

• Northern Valley Assessment 80%

• 4th Grade NJSLA 775 or higher

• Math Committee Approval

Grade 6 moving to Grade 7 Pre-Algebra (advanced) (must meet all criteria)

• GPA: 92 %+ (average) or 80 % + (advanced)

• Math Committee Approval

Grade 7 Pre-Algebra moving to Grade 8 Algebra (must meet all criteria)

• GPA for 2 trimesters: 80% + in advanced math

• Math Committee Approval
