We are excited to kick off our annual Project Pride Turkey Drive. We have been working with the Apostles' House in Newark for the past 15 years.

Project Pride Annual Thanksgiving Drive - 2024
For fifteen years, 8th Grade Project Pride has worked with HP Teens for Tomorrow and Woodcliff Lake Project Nest to supply Thanksgiving dinners to more than 600 families in Newark affiliated with The Apostles’ House.
We are again turning to our HP school and greater community for help through our “Adopt a Family” program. If you are interested in adopting a family, please email HPturkeydrive@hpsd.org and tell us how many bags you would like. Once a family commits to making a meal bag(s), we will send the special bag(s) home with your child.
Inside the bag you will receive the below list of items needed to make a complete meal. Additionally, we encourage families to make a card or place a note wishing the recipient a Happy Thanksgiving. We would love for students to join their parents in buying supplies and in making the card/note .
Below is our shopping list that makes a complete meal bag. Any brand can be purchased. We estimate that filling a bag will cost about $25.
2 cans of fruit (any variety)
2 cans of vegetables (any variety)
1 large or 2 small cans of Yams
1 can of Cranberry Sauce
1 box of Cornbread
1 packet or jar of Gravy
1 box of Stuffing
1 box of Potatoes
1- Cake, Brownie OR Cookie Mix
We will be accepting full bags back to us immediately, with a final drop off deadline of Friday, November. 22nd Your children can drop the bags off in the vestibule.
Later in the month, we will be doing a grade level challenge to supplement some items. More details to follow!
