HP Community,

We want to wish all of our families that celebrate a safe and peaceful Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa and a very happy and healthy New Year!

In sports news, The Boys Basketball Team won each of their scheduled games this week defeating Norwood and Closter. The Spartans earned their first win of the season on Monday against Norwood by the score of 37-35. The boys had a narrow lead throughout the game and showed toughness to maintain the lead in the end when Norwood made a late run. The Spartans played excellent defense and had timely baskets as well. The team was led in scoring by Andre Robinson's 14 points and Sean Blanchard who also added 10 points and tenacious rebounding. On Tuesday the boys won another thrilling game yesterday beating Closter by the score of 45-42. The boys held on to a lead most of the game behind clutch scoring from our 8th graders. The Spartans gave up the lead and fell behind by 7 points in the 4th quarter before making a great run and pulling out the victory. The boys were paced by the leadership and scoring of Andrea Robinson, Sean Blanchard and David Joo.
The Girls Basketball Team wrapped up an intense week of games on Thursday with 3 wins and 1 loss. The girls defeated Norwood, Closter, and Demarest, but lost a tough game in the last minute to Old Tappan. Paige Palmer, Maddie Plescia, and Sophie Donnelly led the team in points. Kami Bird, Eden Canarick, and Quinn Hutchinson also helped the Sparatans score this week. Addison Beezer, Chloe Han, Paige Radoian, Sammy Finer, Tierney Waldron, and Charlotte Forma showed great defensive skills. La Ajah Grayson, Grace Lynch, and Ayzah Malik worked hard on the court! The girls played so hard this week and will continue their season after the holidays!
