From the Desk of the President of the Harrington Park Board of Education.
Dear HP Community,
I’d like to provide a quick progress update on the Interim and permanent Superintendent search.
As outlined in my previous letter, the Board posted our Interim Superintendent opening on various online and offline media and received many applications during the week of October 17. The Board spent time going through each application and selected three very qualified and outstanding candidates for in-person interviews, which concluded last Friday.
The Board will have another special session this week to select an Interim Superintendent. At the next November BOE public session meeting, the Board will appoint our Interim Superintendent. This will provide some time for transition before the end of the year.
For the permanent Superintendent position, the Board will gather proposals from a handful of firms in the next couple of weeks to evaluate the scope of services we will need to effectively carry out the search process, which will include public engagement events.
