The Harrington Park Board of Education is pleased to announce that Ms. Jessica Nitzberg will serve as Interim Superintendent of the Harrington Park School District effective January 1, 2023 through the remainder of the school year. Ms. Nitzberg will replace Dr. Adam D. Fried whose last day will be December 31, 2022.
Ms. Nitzberg has an extensive background in educational leadership and has served as Principal of HPSD since 2011. She started in our district in 2010 as Assistant Principal. Prior to coming to Harrington Park, Ms. Nitzberg was a 5th Grade Teacher within Bergen County. She has a Masters of Administration & Supervision from Montclair State University.
“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve as Interim Superintendent. Being part of this remarkable community as an Administrator over the past thirteen years has been a tremendous experience. I look forward to the work ahead with our staff, students, parents, community and Board,” said Ms. Nitzberg.
“I am extremely honored for Ms. Nitzberg to assume the role as the Superintendent and continue the rich history of Harrington Park, while moving the District forward into the future,” said Dr. Fried.
Ms. Nitzberg was selected from three finalists after an internal and external search of qualified candidates. Ms. Nitzberg’s vision of creativity, innovation, and educational excellence has helped shape the values of our Harrington Park school community and we look forward to seeing all the wonderful contributions she will make as our new Interim Superintendent.
