Internet Safety Presentations On Wednesday, March 8th HP students in grades 6-8 will participate in an Internet Safety Presentation hosted by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. A complimentary parent program will be hosted on Tuesday, March 14th at 7PM for all Northern Valley Parents at Tenakill Middle School. All HP parents are encouraged to attend regardless of your child's grade level. Text: 5th Grade Winter Scenes: In 5th grade we learned about Folk Art as well as onepoint perspective, a way to make a two-dimensional image appear 3-dimesnsional on a flat surface. Students created their own version of a Folk art winter scene, drawing a house in one-point perspective while sticking to a neutral color scheme."
As part of their poetry unit, 3rd graders are reading and reciting poems, researching their authors, and working in computers to create a slide for the author celebrating black authors for Black History Month.

Also, she went to college at Adelphi University. She is an American writer and is still living at 60 years old. Her partner is Juliet Widoff. Some of the books she wrote are, Red at the Bone, Harbor Me, and Brown Girl Dreaming. In school she enjoyed Eglush, Spanish and gym."

HP Student Council is continuing the tradition of selling "Heart Grams" this year to raise money for the American Heart Association. Students and parents can purchase 1 “Heart Gram” for $1 and can send it to any student in any grade level. Each heart gram message will include a little heart keychain.
